As a foster based rescue, all our dogs are in family homes, not kennels and therefore we are restricted in the dogs we can take in. Please complete the request form here and we will come back to you with any help we can offer. Please also read the information below.
There are lots of reasons why people can no longer keep their dogs and here at Best Life Dog Rescue we understand this and are here to offer support wherever possible. But before giving up your much loved pet for rehoming there may be another option. For instance, have you considered working with a behaviourist to help with any issues you are currently experiencing? We are happy to recommend a fantastic, highly qualified canine behaviourist who will assess your dog's needs and prepare a plan for you to follow with continuing support and back up throughout. She does make a charge for this service of course, but if it means you can iron out any issues and possibly get to keep your best friend, it is certainly worth it we think.
If you aren't able to work with your dog, or afford a behaviourist's help, have you considered asking a family member or friend to take your dog? Alternatively you could consider keeping hold of your dog whilst a home is found for them, this helps the rescue to help you. However there is no time limit on this and certain breeds or temperaments may take longer to rehome than others of course. If you aren't able to do this as you need help sooner and Best Life are not able to help at the time, then we can suggest some other local rescues or organisations that may be able to help. Please don't despair and try to be patient, lots of rescues are very full at the moment with the cost of living crisis and following a massive increase in unwanted dogs after lockdown, but this does not mean that there is no help out there and we will always do our best to help where and when we can.
